About Gemma
I am a 24 yr old resident of Hobsonville who loves animals and pets of all shapes and sizes! I grew up with cats and dogs, and in my adult years have adopted a gorgeous orange cat, Tom, and had a lot of experience caring for my dad's Samoyed's as they have become avid travellers! I am a keen runner and love going on long walks with a furry friend, or curling up on the couch with a cat in my lap and a nice book.
I’m comfortable looking after cats and dogs, and have a little bird and fish experience🦜🐠 (thanks to my partner who has had them as pets since he was little!) Whether your fur baby is shy or an energetic sort , I’m there! I am extremely patient (thanks to growing up in a bustling family environment), I understand that each animal has their own needs and I aim to provide them with as much consistency as possible.
Services:
I am available for house visits, house sitting and dog walking. I work in the insurance industry in ponsonby and have flexibility in my hours and work from home abilities. I can fit in early morning visits for feeding, company or a brief walk as well as longer visits for companionship and care after work. On the weekends I have complete flexibility so I am able to visit longer hours or take your furry friends on more enriching walks. I have quite a green thumb and can take care of your houseplants at the same time. I have lived in the Hobsonville area for 2 years and know all of the local paths and dog friendly walk ways, if your fur baby is okay on a car journey I know some great walks on the shore too! I am a keen runner and can take your dog along with me if that is what they are used to!
Area:
I am available for walking/house visits/ house sitting in Hobsonville, Whenuapai, Greenhithe, West Harbour and surrounding areas during the week and on weekends. Unfortunately I am unable to accomodate pets in my home as I have a cat who hates his own reflection, I could only imagine his horror at another living breathing pet!
