Hi, I'm Katie. An avid dog lover from the UK and desperate to buy my own dog; but promised myself I wouldn't until I have bought my own house. So in the meantime I would love to get my doggy fix by taking your pooch on a romantic sunset beach stroll. I promise to treat them to sticks &amp; swims &amp; all the cuddles (if that's what you desire!). I'm a Project Manager at the Hospital and live in Takapuna. I have many friends with dogs across the city who I actively walk &amp; house/pet sit for when they are away. I have also helped train an 8 week Golden Retriver puppy up to 2 yrs old &amp; love all dogs at all ages. I am a high energy person so send your high energy dogs my way to wear them out. I am incredibly reliable, caring &amp; trustworthy. Your fur baby will be in very good hands!&nbsp;

Dog walking 
I'm available most evenings through the week and mornings on the weekend. I'm happy to pick up &amp; drop off your pet at your home. Most walks would be down Takapuna beach with the odd detour through suburban housing to complete a loop. Dog walking duration can be anywhere from 30mins to several hours depending on the activity level of your dog and how long you want it to be. 

Home visits 
I'll stay for as long as you specify and can do other house/life admin jobs if required. I grew up in the UK where home security is drilled into you. You never leave a door or window unlocked - so your home would be fully secured on departure and left as found. 

Home stays 
Again duration of stay and hang out time with the dog and at your property is completely up to you. I have dog sat for several weeks at a time or just for the weekend. I'm super flexible and wouldn't sign up to something I couldn't fulfil. Home security would be of utmost importance and I'm very house proud so your property would be left clean, tidy &amp; as you left it.

I’m Maddie, but may be one day Nigella will hand over the title of ‘Domestic Goddess’. Anyhow, for today I’m a young, hardworking individual who is goal-driven. I have been working in the surf industry for the past 4 years as a Brand Manager and have recently escaped in the pursuit of something new. I'm in my mid twenties &amp; have grown up with a number of pets. One of which, Scooter / Roger (dependent on his mood) is featured in the profile photo.
I love creatures great and small, and spaces with good indoor-outdoor flow. I have keen interests in art, sewing, cooking &amp; surfing (I'm still learning, not sure if I qualify for the "surfer" title yet). I like to use this as an opportunity to explore the pockets of our community. The gallery features just a few of the companions I have made this year housesitting. 

One of my key traits is going above and beyond expectation. I know how hard it can be to leave your companions behind but I will take care of them as if they were my own. I’m happy to provide you with daily updates on their well-being, including photos and videos. I want you to be at ease while you’re away too. Otherwise, I will write up extensive notes at the end of my stay outlining anything of significance.

Something that sets me apart from other house sitters is that I also own a cleaning and decluttering business called Tutti. Not only does this mean I’m only out of the home for short stints but I can also give your home a spruce while you’re away. At the end of every stay I offer a 1h complementary clean so you can put your feet up when you return. I can also provide my deep cleaning &amp; decluttering services while you’re away - *queue* that unorganised linen cupboard or perhaps that chaotic pantry - we won’t mention “that drawer”.&nbsp;

Services : 
Housesitting - I find that staying in one place for at least 4 days allows me to settle in and make the space feel like home. It can be difficult to constantly move around and adjust to new surroundings.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Home Visits - I am available in the mornings on weekdays and Sundays

I am happy to take care of  at your place or anywhere else. I am available from Fridays night to Sundays, and I can stay overnight if needed . 
Unfortunately, the house where I live doesn't accept pets . However, if your place is near to mine, we can discuss overnights during the week as well. 
I have worked in a dog day care and also done a grooming course. I am happy to provide home visits, walks, sleepover, grooming if needed, medication administration, and so much love 🫶🏻

My passion for pet sitting and dog walking originates from a profound love for animals, deeply rooted in my experiences caring for my beloved my 7-year-old Samoyed. Through dedicated care, including administering injected diabetes medication, I have developed a keen understanding of pets' unique needs and am able to take care of any special requirements for your pet, including administering oral or injected medication. I offer a range of services, including dog walking, house sitting at the owner’s home, and basic grooming, such as regular brushing, which I perform on my own Samoyed. Although I do not provide dog sitting at my own residence, my experience with my dog has equipped me with valuable skills and a compassionate approach to pet care. I am a Registered Nurse that absolutely loves animals. I love animals in general, and dogs have always been part of my life.
Existing animal: I currently have one 7-month old pup named Lua (German Spitz cross) who is a very happy/social doggo. She absolutely LOVES to play, especially with fellow doggos! She is fully vaccinated and flea/dewormed.
Experience: I have had four dogs in total, including one Maltese(small dog), one Lab x Staffy(large dog), and therefore have experiences with various breeds and sizes including larger dogs. I have more than enough experience with dogs, as I do all the training, feeding, walking/playing, etc myself.
Environment: I live in Bayview, in a reasonably spacious house with a fully fenced backyard/deck for them to play in.
Employment status/Availability: I am currently working part-time (4 days a week) and would love to take care of your furry friends on my days off. I have only allowed availability for the days I DON'T work so I can fully take care of your companion. They will be supervised/taken care the whole time.
Services: For boarding and daycare, I can provide any necessary care that is needed, including feeding (+ medications if required), providing fresh water, playing and socialising (along with Lua of course!), providing constant supervision, etc. I also have a full driver's licence, therefore can pickup/drop off your dog for extra charge if needed.
Rates: Rates are as shown (dog-walking rate is for one-hour walk), and 19% of pay goes towards Pawshake.

Absolutely love animals and pets. I have always owned a cat, currently have an elderly cat of 17 living with me.&nbsp;
I have previously done both house sitting and pet sitting for both cats and dogs for an extended period of time. I have also fostered rabbits with the SPCA for some time last year and absolutely adored it and miss having them so much as I currently am unable to with my cat and living situation. Would also love to foster cats and kittens when I can too.
