I was mum to Zoe, a beauitiful hunterway bearded collie for 14 years. She was my 3rd baby. I love dogs/animals. I treat them as if they are my own. I ofen speak to dogs when out before I meet their owners. Dogs just love me, because I love them. I've done many dog sits both in nZ and overseas.

I have been asked back in many dog sits, because I do such a great job and the dog is well cared for in my charge.

I prefer to dog sit in the dog's house, because I think they're more at home there. I treat the house as if its my own, keeping it tidy. Im very professional, curteous and respectful.

I get on easily with most people and dogs. I have boundaries and just like kids need boundaries, so do dogs. As someone once said to me 'You're firm but fair' which I believe I am.

I grew up with dachsunds and we still have them in my family. I have also worked at HUHA for a while and realised then that just like humans dogs just want love, kindness, attention, food and walks. It changed my perspective on dogs greatly. There are no bad dogs, just poor owners.

Dogs are a big responsibility. They are like another family member and we need to realise that.




Helen was excellent at communicating right through the process of house-sitting. Always proactive and reliable. We really appreciated the photos, videos and regular communication from her during our time away. Our dog got plenty of exercise and love, and was happy and and well on our return. We very much appreciated her care for our pup.
