Hi, my name is Jash and I have been living in New Zealand for the last 10 years. I am originally from Fiji but had moved to New Zealand with my family for a new start and a new adventure. I have been working in the hospitality industry for the last 8 years which a has served me well as it has given me valuable insight and key communication skills. I am now furthering a change of scenery and planning to travel around New Zealand in the hopes of discovering new passions and ideas. Self growth is a massive thing for myself and I have realised in the last few years how much I have been missing what I am most passionate about, animals!
I am not a professional but looking after animals was not an issue. I grew up with 6 large dogs, 7 cats, 4 Guinea pigs and a tank filled with tropical fish. You can say it was a busy house hold! Animals have always been a key part of my life, however, since moving to New Zealand, it was hard having any as I have been travelling alot. So why not mix the two?! I am now travelling and planning on looking after animals where ever I go- short term or long term.
I am a quick learner, neat and tidy, have a strong attention to detail, self motivated, kind and compassionate and can follow through with tasks without any hassle.
Key skills which I can provide:
Cleaning kitty litters, feeding animals with food and water according to schedules provided, exercising/playing/walking dogs and cats, basic grooming (washing) dogs with animal friendly products. I can tidy up the house as well if I am to stay the night. I am aware of medications and can easily follow through with safe handling and medicating animals with clear guideline and instructions.
I am able to take care of cats, dogs and fish. I have no restrictions on dog sizes except for perhaps Great Danes, but what are the chances of that 😂. I have looked after a few large dog breeds and they are quite fun!
I am able to do once or twice a day visits and or 24 hour house sits but will happily discuss further with the house owners regarding their requirements. I solely, will be doing the house sitting.
I look forward to this new and exciting chapter of my life and as a house sitter, look forward to meeting and making new friends and fur- friends!!!

I had the privilege of working with Jashmita for the Kings Birthday long weekend and I am so very pleased to have had her in my home for my pets.
She was engaging, respectful and bubbly and my dogs were very happy with being able to stay in their own home, still get their routine and treats and have cuddles along the way.

As mentioned, I am not a professional however, I am able to follow through with strict and safe instructions. I have worked as a Duty Manager for the last 5 years but in hospitality for 8 so I am well aware of meeting specific requirements and being in a management position. I have clean record and can happily provide a police clearance if necessary. I have also recently completed a business administration course which I hope to use while travelling as well.
