Hello!!

My name is Sarah May (you can call me Maisy), I'm 27 years old and I love spending my time with furry (or not!) animal friends! I don't have a pet of my own at the moment, so I'd love to help take care of your pet :) My main goals as a pet-sitter/walker/etc. are: to keep your pet safe, to make you feel comfortable, and for your pet to have a great time.

I am primarily looking to do dog walking and/or house-visits for your pets, but am open to overnight pet-sitting as well.

I grew up with a VARIETY of animals - cats, dogs (golden retrievers and german shepherds), a leopard gecko, and hermit crabs. I have spent lots of time volunteering with animal shelters in California, where I am from. During this time I underwent multiple trainings where SAFETY was ingrained into me (how to properly pick up small dogs, how to walk large dogs that are just getting used to being on a leash). I worked at the Agoura Animal Shelter for 2 years looking after and walking dogs, and 1 year at the West LA Animal Shelter caring for rabbits.

I am comfortable accommodating your pup's specific needs if they have medical requirements. For example, prior to moving to Mount Maunganui I frequently dog-sat for a family who had a small 17-year old pup who required medication (oral) at dinner time, and lots of short walks. One of my favorite parts of pet-sitting is sending you, the owner, photos and updates of your pet having fun!

My family's current dog is a gorgeous German Shepherd male who absolutely LOVES to learn new games he can play with his humans and do LOTS OF TRAINING! That boy would sit, stay, and lay-down all day if I had the energy.

I can also help with non-furry friends, if you need a small pet like a lizard or hermit crab to be fed or looked after. 

I'm happy to meet you and your pet first, I find it can be helpful for the pet to see the walker/sitter interact with their owner in a positive way!
