I have always loved animals and had a special connection to them - ever since I was a kid people have called me an animal whisperer because of the way animals seem to naturally be drawn to me and trust me. 

As a cat mum myself, I know the anxiety of leaving your pets alone or in someone else's care. I have joined Pawshake to help other pet parents find someone loving and reliable to care for their pets. 

I have recently completed a pet first aid course with Pet First Aid & Training NZ so you can trust that your animal is in good hands if they were to get sick or injured while in my care. I also have my own car so can transport them to a vet if needed.

I have experience caring for a range of animals including large dogs (including greyhounds), small dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, birds, fish and mice.

Services I offer:

Dog/cat walking: Typically a 30 minute walk. Longer walks can be negotiated. I can also walk harness trained cats as I do this with my own cat. 

Home visits: Depending on your pets needs I can change food/water, administer medication, clear the litterbox, play with them, let them explore your yard, have a cuddle, brush them etc. I can also clear the mailbox and open and close curtains to make it appear someone is home while you are away. A typical home visit would be up to 20 minutes but longer visits can be negotiated.

Your fur baby will be in great hands with me. I can't wait you meet you and your pet!

Additional charges:

In the following circumstances I may request a higher fee. This will always be negotiated with you in advance so there will be no surprises.

• Travel: My rates are based on travel within Lower Hutt. I am happy to care for pets outside of this area but a travel surcharge may apply to cover my travel expenses. 
• Medication: While I don't charge extra for simple administration of medication, more complex situations such as unwilling pets, complicated administration or multiple medications needing to be administered may incur a surcharge.
• Multiple pets: If you have multiple pets that are needing to be cared for, the rate might be increased if this results in a longer or more complex visit. 
• Extra time: I know some pets need more human interraction than others, (my own cat needs at least a couple of hours a day on a lap to be kept happy). I am happy to stay with your pet for longer if they need it, to provide extra playtime, cuddles, grooming etc. The amount of extra time needed and the price of this can be negotiated.
