Hi and thank you for looking at my profile. I moved to Matakana with my wife and our West Highland Terrier in 2020 to escape the Auckland inner city. We now live on a large section down a long drive and have a little slice of paradise. I quit my corporate job in May 2022 to complete oversight on the renovation of our house. Now that project is completed I have thought about how I could be involved in the community with the bonus of doing something I am passionate about. Sadly our westie died in March this year at the ripe old age of 16. I now get to "babysit" my two fur grandbabies, both rescue dogs, on a regular basis. While we are not ready to get another pet of our own yet I get great satisfaction in caring for animals. I love how they all have their own unique personality that you get to know after a day or so. I have fostered many cats and a few dogs aside form my Grandparenting duties. I also have experience looking after horses. My wife is a registered nurse and devoted animal welfare advocate. 

I will look after your dog as part of our family. They will not be left alone in a kennel and will receive regular excercise appropriate to their needs, play time and training if needed. I typically find it takes anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days to bond with new dogs.
