Hi, my name is Sabine (or Aunty Beenie to my friend’s kids). I am 44 years old, and work as a marketing and project manager for SPCA (a dream job, really for an animal lover like me).

I started pet sitting full time in early 2018 and have been looking after so many wonderful animals since, from small to large dogs, cats and kittens, exotic fish and chickens, native birds and pet doves.

Please send me a message so we can discuss your pet sitting needs! I am happy to discuss reducing or waving charges for sits of more than 2 weeks. As I sit full-time I prioritise longer sits (10 days plus) as it can become challenging to fill weekdays if only the weekend is booked. 

Animals have always been my passion, having grown up on a lifestyle block with cats and dogs (German Shepherds), chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses and large farm animals. In 2002, after moving to New Zealand I started fostering cats and kittens for the Lonely Miaow Association and have cared for and rehomed over 450 furkids in six years, from neonates to seniors. Currently, I am a neonate foster parent for SPCA and Lonely Miaow, whenever I find time between my house sits, or if the sit allows.

I am privileged to be able to work from home three days a week so have lots of time to spend with your animals, especially if they require some extra care or like to have someone around. And if your dog is calm, sociable with other dogs and crate-trained I can take her/him to the office once a week as well.

I am confident in giving oral and other medications, and am more than happy to look after elderly animals that need extra care. I am also confident with raw feeding dogs (at the owner's instruction, of course) and fine with large dogs, dog-reactive dogs and dogs on training schedules (again, I rely on the owner to provide me with details).

I will care for your pets as if they were part of my family and will always be accommodate to any special needs and requests (as aunties do)!

You can expect regular photo updates and I am also happy to look after gardens, water plants, collect mail and do any other household tasks required at no extra cost! If your household is vegetarian or vegan and you prefer not to have specific products in the house, I can accommodate this as well.
