About me

Hi I'm Veronika,

I'm a huge dog lover but due to renting in Queenstown I'm not allowed to have my own pets or at the moment look after your pets at my place. I'm a long term Queenstown local and I know some of the best walking tracks around here. I will treat your dog like my own and I'm happy to regularly update you with texts and photos. 

I'm working Monday to Friday so I won't be able to stay with your dog all day but happy to do the walks before/after work. Me and my partner Baptiste are both free at the weekends and he'll be more than happy to join me for dog walks.

We're both huge outdoor enthusiasts and you often find us hiking in the mountains, biking, fishing, paddle boarding or skiing. We're both happy to be outside in any weather conditions.

MY EXPERIENCE

I grew up around dogs and cats and I've spent a lot of time looking after other people's pets. I've put some photos in my gallery. 

I'm an experienced dog walker and dog sitter. I've been regularly walking B. from Frankton (black dog on lots of my photos) since February 2023. I also regularly walked other dogs in different locations in NZ before.

Back home with our family dog Mia (golden retriever mix on my photos) I've attended multiple group socialisation walks, some of them included dogs with behaviour issues. 

Three years ago I spent eight weeks helping raise a litter of nine labrador puppies. It was literally my dream job even though it meant l was covered in bites and scratches all the time.


WHAT DO I OFFER

I'm comfortable to look after dogs of any sizes and temperaments. I only need you to be honest about your dogs potential issues (other dogs, bikes, cars, people, etc.).

I'm experienced in reading dogs behaviour (body language, calming signals, etc).

1)dog sitting at your place
I'm happy to look after your pets (dogs & cats but I'm happy to discuss other pets as well) at your place or pop in during the day to check on them and do the feeding. When staying at your place I can guarantee one big walk a day plus multiple quick walks/runs in the garden etc. I can accommodate to your dog needs but since I work full time I won't be able to be with your pet all day (apart from the weekends). 

2)dog walking
I'm offering to give your dog a good walk, bike run or a swim depending on your dog's needs. I'm comfortable taking your dog on a on/off leash walk as well as using a long line. I'm more than happy to adjust to your dog's needs and walk them in town, biking track, in a quiet place or place of your choice.
