Hi there fellow animal lover!

My name is Joana and I'm a huge animal lover currenlty living in Red Beach, Auckland. I was born in Peru but grew up in NZ my whole life. I have recently returned from a year in Bali where I spent a lot of time volunteering with animal shelters and taking on foster dogs. 

I am a huge animal lover and have spent a lot of time with dogs in particular. I feel vey connected to animals and always find myself attracting them into my life somehow. My family has two dogs (Cholita and Pepper) that I helped care for and raise, they are Papillon/Japanese spits cross and are 12 and 10 years old. I am experienced in dog sitting both in New Zealand and overseas and would be happy to provide references. I have looked after small and large dogs, given medication where needed and always give them all the love I would give to my own dogs.

Recently in Bali, I helped rescue a sick puppy (Maya) from the streets and nursed her back to health. She was in my care for a few months and I managed to find a forever home for her. I also volunteered with a non profit called 'Hope for Bali Dogs' where I helped with dog walking and adoption events. I really have a strong passion for animals and love to help where I can.

Since coming back to NZ, I am keen to continue working with animals and love the idea of helping out pet owners in Auckland! I would love to come and look after your pet while you are away or provide any other services such as dog walking.

What I offer:

- Dog walking: My fee is a 30 minute walk, either at a local beach or park. This will ensure a happy and healthy dog!

- Home visits: I will provide food and water, clean litter, spend time and give them company. I’m also happy to help with other household duties such as watering the plants etc. 

- Overnight stays: I can be there mornings and evenings, and depending on the day if I’m working from home then I can be there all day. (I normally work from home 2-3 days per week).
