Hey there,

I'm Bree, 20 years old and currently studying a Batchelor of Outdoor Education and Sustainability at Ara institute of Canterbury. I am in my last year of my degree and can be described as an outgoing, reliable person. I'm currently living in Barrington with my partner or spend lots of time at my family's home in Birdling's Flat.

I have always grown up with dogs, cats and a few horses over the years and have spent a lot of time on my aunties farm with lots of dogs, cats, horses, chickens, sheep, cows, turtles, birds you name it! I have always loved being out on the farm surrounded by animals so it has been an interesting adjustment living in the city.

What is my motivation to be a pet sitter?

I have always loved animals especially dogs and as my family dog Ella a bullmastiff x staffy gets older I miss company on my runs. I am a pretty active person usually running 4-6 times a week. I believe that this could be a perfect opportunity to earn some extra money and more enjoyment with four legged company to my runs.

When am I usually available?

Being a student my availability can change but I am usually very flexible. Most days I am always free before 10am and after 3pm. I will often have many days without class or days I can choose to work online meaning I'm happy to pet/house sit for multiple days in a row. I can keep plants alive too!!

My dog walking:

I love walking and exploring and will usually run or walk anywhere from 5-10km. Living near Barrington park and the Heathcote River I often run a loop near these areas. I also have a car to take the dog to new areas like the beach or drive to your house.

About my pet/house sitting

I have a fair amount of experience pet sitting mostly with dogs and cats. This experience has mostly been with friends and family and am happy to provide references for you. With my degree being flexible there is potential for me to house sit up to a week at a time depending on my schedule. I am happy to look after the house, keeping plants alive, checking mail to increase the security of the home as it wouldn't appear empty to when you are away.
