Hi! My name is Lucia!
I have loved animals since I was a child, forming a special bond with dogs in particular. Growing up, I experienced the basics of dog care by raising a 10-year-old Maltese and 15-year-old Pomeranian at my parents' home. Currently, I moved to New Zealand with my beloved 2-year-old Golden Retriever, Noah. She gets along well with other dogs and has a very gentle temperament, making her a great companion for your dog! I have experience caring for my friends' dogs and cat, ranging from small to large breeds.
I am available for dog boarding and dog daycare in my home, caring for one dog at a time to ensure they receive the best attention and care. Since I work from home, I can provide care for your furry friend all day long! I am based in Newlands, and my home features fenced backyard where your dog can enjoy outdoor activities beyond regular walk! Typically, I offer morning and afternoon walks, each lasting 30 minutes to an hour, and on weekends, I enjoy taking dogs to a nearby park or beach for added exercise and fun! Additionally, upon request, I can administer oral hygiene, and provide basic training.
I understand how difficult it can be to leave your dog behind, even for a short period. Rest assured, I will dedicated to ensuring your dog is comfortable and happy while you are away! You will be welcome to request updates, photos, or videos of your dog at any time!

Lucia and her partner were terrific, and Frankie loved staying with them and Noah. Lucia kept us updated with how Frankie was doing and sent photos, which we really appreciated as we were missing her quite a bit while we were away. Would definitely recommend Lucia for dog boarding! :)
Lucia did a fantastic job looking after Albie! Her golden retriever Noah was a fantastic companion and they had a really nice time playing together during the day and this really helped to build his confidence. Lucia was always very responsive with all communication.
