Hi, my name is Lisa and I arrived 2019 in New Zealand and call the Tasman area my home for a few years now - it’s just such a beautiful area.
I’m 31 years old and originally from Germany, where I grew up with cats and rabbits in my 20ies.
The last 3 years I owned pet rats and currently I have a high energetic 2 year old Labrador and 1 year old Huntaway cross.
I worked on diary farms in Australia in the past and also volunteered at a horse sanctuary in Canada.
Besides petsitting I do casual support work, but I can choose the time and hours when to work, so am quite flexible.
As someone who has has/had pets my whole life I understand how they are part of your family and I always make sure they are as happy and comfortable as they can be while their family is away :) I can ensure you, I will love them as their would be my own. I am able to look after dogs, cats or small animals.

I offer:
✨Dog walking
✨Pet visits - to check in & spend time with your pet
(provide lots of love & cuddles, make sure pets have plenty of fresh water, feed your pets - you leave the food & I follow your instructions, administer any medication to pets, clean litter trays if you have a cat, collect the mail and any papers and put out/bring in the rubbish/recycling, water any needy plants)
✨Dog boarding (before arranging any boarding, a meet-and-greet will be necessary to ensure compatibility between your dog(s) and mine) - 🔺Please supply your dogs regular food, as a quick change of diet can be upsetting a dogs stomach.🔺
✨Having dogs over for doggy play dates (meet-and-greet will be necessary)
✨House sitting (only for a short period of time due to having my own 2 dogs)

My values:
Regardless of the weather, my partner and me take our dogs at least 2 times a day out for outings to like Rough Island, Maitai Valley, Richmond Hill walks, Wakefield walks, the beach etc. and let them run off-leash in a safe environment so that they can enjoy: exploring, socialising, swimming…
If your dog stay with us, we will happily take him/her with us to our adventures!
Im a believer of positive reinforcement when training, and I always have a bag of treats with me for every walk to keep the training going.
Moreover having two intelligent and active dogs, I know how important it is to stimulate them mentally - we have puzzles and other brain games at home. Also doing scent seeking exercises I’ve learnt through course’s.
We have friends over who often bring their dogs (all different kind of sizes and breeds and personalities) so I’m confident to look after various kind of dogs (anxious, reactive etc. included).
I am happy to send daily photos and updates of my time spent with your pet.
Pease feel free to message me with any questions you have or to discuss a booking.
I look forward to have a meet-and-greet to get to know you and your pet :)

Our dogs stayed with Lisa over the Easter break. This was their second visit and it was just as good as the last time! Lisa looked after our two like they were her own. We received regular updates - wonderful walks and lots of cuddles. Our one dog had to see the vet, wear a cone and take medication during her stay and Lisa managed all of this so nicely. If you're looking for a home away from home for your hound, choose Lisa. She's the best!
My girls had a wonderful time with Lisa and her dogs - we had a great meet-up and they loved their day with her we will definitely use her again in the future when we have the need.
